Some links on this website — especially the buttons on the shopping list — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something on Amazon, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly; the commission comes out of Amazon's side, not yours.
How recommendations are chosen
The shopping list mirrors the categories in our Wedding Essentials Shopping Guide. Items are chosen because they solve a real planning problem: they are the sort of thing we would point a friend towards — practical, well-reviewed categories of products with clear features to compare, rather than whatever happens to be fashionable this week. The guide explains what to look for (sizes, materials, battery versus mains power, venue rules) so you can judge a product even if a specific listing changes.
Prices and availability change
Amazon prices, stock and product details change constantly, and sellers revise listings. That is exactly why the guide itself contains guidance instead of prices: the accurate price and availability are the ones shown on Amazon when you visit, not anything written here. If a link ever lands somewhere that no longer matches its description, please tell us through the contact page and we will fix or remove it.
Our products are separate
The planner spreadsheet and shopping guide are our own digital products, sold through Etsy. Buying them is never required to use the free articles or browse the shopping list here. Where a post recommends one of our products, it says so plainly and links to Etsy so you can read the full listing, reviews and delivery details there.
No obligation, ever
Use the lists as a starting point, compare options, borrow what you can, and skip anything that does not fit your day. A smaller, calmer shopping list is a success as far as we are concerned.
